How does it work?
Contact
Send me an email to info@bio-graphics.es and tell me about your project. Please include:
-
Your name, your research field, and your institution/company.
-
A description of your project including your ideas, any sketch or model on which it can be based, to whom is addressed (publication, grant application...), or any other relevant details.
-
Your deadline, to check if I can accommodate it within your needs.
I will get back to you within 24 hours to confirm if the project is within my scope and if I can do it in your required time frame. If so, I will send you an estimated budget for your project without any commitment.
Collaboration
Once I have received all the necessary information, I will get to work and send you the first draft on the agreed date.
A custom illustration usually takes 5 business days, but it may take more depending on the ongoing projects.
After you receive the first draft, we can change and discuss the appropriate details so that each graph/table meets all your criteria.
Small changes are included in the initial budget. In the case that substantial changes need to be made (e.g., if new data became available), I will let you know so you can accept or decline the new budget.
Delivery
When we are satisfied with the result, I will send you the file(s) with the polished illustration in the required file formats.
You will receive an invoice which you can pay by bank transfer or PayPal.
How much does it cost?
Price varies depending on the complexity of the project, as the cost of a scientific illustration will depend on several factors, such as:
-
How many elements the illustration contains
-
The level of detail these elements require
-
Whether a rough sketch has been provided or whether it is a new figure developed from scratch
-
How much time have I spent looking for all the necessary information to illustrate it
-
Number of changes needed, etc.
